The Cider Tap and Orchard - Brand new Taproom by the the award winning team behind Wobblegate

We are on the lookout for enthusiastic, energetic and hard working Bar / Waiting Staff to be part of our dream team!

Our 22 tap bar, bottle shop and garden will be opening from Friday 19th April 2019. Open every weekend throughout the year. It is the home to Wobblegate Juices and Rebel Root Ciders. Our aim is to guide people through the world of apples, through our awesome juices and ciders, hosting food trucks, events and tours throughout the year.

The roll will include:-

• Bar service
• Glass collection
• Shop service
• General running (Keeping all areas clean, stocked up and tickety boo)
• Placing orders with suppliers
• Opening up and locking up

Who we are looking for:-

• A cool, reliable and well mannered positive can do attitude attitude
• Resourceful and used to using their own initiative
• Some experience would be helpful
• Someone who loves cider would be ideal, A huge fan of our drinks would be awesome, ultimately you need to interested in and passionate about the drinks you are serving
• We’re located on a farm, with no public transport links, you would have to have your own transport or be able to arrange lifts
• You’ll be required to offer Excellent Customer Service
• You definitely need to have Good communication skills
• There’s no I in team! Team players only
• Ability to work under pressure during busy times, and proactiveness to keep busy in the quieter ones

Are you looking for some part time work? Perhaps to top up that Gap Year fund! 1-3 Days a week

We have a flexible, part time roll available over the next few months, with the possibility of expanding the roll and hours depending on the right candidate and how you get on.

The roll will include:-

• Labelling our awesome drinks and packaging them up for delivery
• General day to day jobs, including keeping the place spick and span
• We’re a drinks producer on a farm, so you may get your hands dirty occasionally!
• Lifting will be part of the job, you wont need to be Arnie, but the role will be relatively physical

If your suited they may be availability for extra hours over the weekends on events or in our taproom, as well as potential progression throughout the business.

Are you happy, fun, reliable, great with customers and have a good sense of direction?

We’re on the lookout for an awesome person to deliver our delicious award winning drinks all over the South East. You will be the face of our business to all our lovely trade customers, delivering to the best cafes, bars and restaurants arounds Sussex.

The roll will include:-

• Driving (for insurance reasons you’ll have to be 25 or over, with a clean UK Drivers Licence)
• Lifting and carrying boxes of juice and kegs of cider, you won’t have to be Arnie, but in good enough physical health
• Occasionally helping our production team at the farm

Who we are looking for:-

• A cool, reliable and well mannered positive can do attitude
• Resourceful and used to using their own initiative
• Some experience with driving vans would be helpful
• Smart and tidy appearance is key
• Someone who is a huge fan of our drinks would be awesome
• There’s no I in team! Team players only
• Flexibility in working hours will be key, due to seasonal changes in ordering and traffic
• Local and regional knowledge would be a bonus
• The ability to navigate and change route around traffic would be a plus
• Forklift licence would be an added bonus

A great opportunity to be part of a young energetic team. This mighty important role will find you out and about meeting the lovely people of Sussex, Surrey and Kent spreading the word and introducing them to our awesome drinks. You’ll be researching, booking meetings and selling our award winning products from cafes, restaurants, farm shops and all they way to pubs and bars.

We’re looking for an energetic, highly self motivated sales person. Pushy sales is not our style, we like to build great relationships with our customers, not one hit wonders.

This is a totally flexible role! We’re throwing away the rule book and trying something different. This role will be commission only, with an awesome rate and perks to make it a great deal for all. Perfect for anyone commitments at awkward times of the week, like school runs, or perhaps a top up for your gap year fund! You’ll be responsible for your own travel and costs, and will need your own transport.

The roll will include:-

• Research and generate new leads and opportunities, planning visits to potential customers and following up in an organised manner
• Booking meetings
• Travelling around our beautiful region
• Build a network of key accounts and maintain customer relationships, keeping them engaged in our drinks and the Wobblegate story
• Regularly reporting updates to founders Tom and Pete
• Dropping of samples

We’re really excited to offer this amazing role. We’re looking for passionate, motivated, creative and ambitious person to join our young and energetic team. The role will be assisting our Founder and head Cider maker Tom with all areas of making our award winning drinks, this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow their role and responsibility within our company. You’ll be creating our existing line up of awesome drinks, and have the flexibility and support to create, experiment and bring to market ideas of your own! We’re a small, all hands on deck team, with everyone chipping in into different areas of running our business from time to time, so there will be plenty of variety plus great rewards.

Assist Head Cider Maker in all aspects of the following:

• Fermentation
• Product Development
• Packaging
• Bottling, Canning, Pasteurisation, Racking Kegs
• Keg Cleaning
• Tank Cleaning
• Filtration
• Preparation for Juice Shipments
• Preparation of finished cider
• Operation of forklift, pallet truck, regular organisation of pallets, finished goods, dry goods
• Receiving deliveries, loading distribution trucks
• Tasting Room education and keg room maintenance
• Blending cider
• Testing and monitoring fermentation and our barrel programme

Required Experience:-

• At least 1 year at cidery, brewery, or winery in a production capacity or a qualification in wine making / cider making and fermentation. Please do not apply if you cannot meet either of these criteria

Other Requirements:-

• Practical knowledge of fermentation, sanitation, and cellar equipment. Knowledge particular to cider production and filtration is encouraged
• Strong work ethic, communication skills, and mechanical ability
• Imaginative and creative mind
• Ability to work independently to accomplish daily and weekly tasks without much oversight as well as to be a team player on a small and tightly-knit team
• Flexible schedule; ability to periodically work extremely early or extremely late in the day, sometimes at short notice
• Resourceful and used to using their own initiative
